Ladies' Day Wrap!

After a tough Round 4 against the Petersham Petes, which saw the Cynics salvage only a single draw and incur two very close losses, all three teams bounced back in a big way against Greenway with a series sweep!

1st Grade took a 6-run lead in the first but had to fight off a Greenway comeback in a 13-10 win. Alex Cobb picked up his third win of the year, while Tim Nelson recieved MVP for his team-leading offense in the high-scoring affair..

2nd Grade jumped out early and cruised to a 13-3 victory. President Wade Shipard started on the mound for the Cynics, throwing three scoreless innings, while Jasper Odgers made his first pitching appearance in several years. Daigo Yamaguchi scored 2 runs and caught a clean game behind the dish to get players’ player.

3rd Grade cruised to an 11-2 win, with Ben Cobb pitching 5 scoreless for just 2 hits and picking up his second win. Jon Nicoll collected 2 doubles and 3 RBIs to lead the offensive push.

4th Grade dominated 14-0 to remain undefeated in PCBL A Grade Division 1. Thomas Phelps pitched 5 innings for no hits.

Most importantly, the Cynics raised over $1200 for our charity of choice, Dress for Success. A huge thank you to Ben Warnock and the many committee members who spent many hours organising and running the event on the day.

See below for the box scores for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Grade, and our Facebook and Instagram pages for images captured throughout the day. Apologies for the lack of post last week; box scores were not made available to us.
