The Cynics continued their hot start to 2021, winning 3 out of 4 grades.

st Grade won 9-7 in an extra innings thriller. Veteran Mitch Liddle pitched 6 and a third innings of scoreless relief in a 15 inning victory finished under lights. Jackson Mannix, Tim Nelson and Cooper Horton led the way offensively with three hits each.

nd Grade lead early, but couldn’t capitalise on loaded bases in the top of the 9th inning to steal a victory, losing 4-3. Veterans Jarryd Stanley and Zak Horton combined for eight innings on the mound, while rookie Blake Gooding was an offensive highlight, tallying up three hits.

rd Grade again had a comfortable 7-4 win, sharing the load amongst their pitching staff, with a rejuvenated Scott Moran making it look like 2013 again with 1 and a third innings of scoreless relief. Matt Kelleher had two hits and drove in three.

th Grade remained unbeaten with an 11-7 victory against North Sydney, with a top of the table clash looming next week against Japan Baseball.
