SUBC 1st Grade into the Grand Final!

We did it! 1st Grade advances to the Grand Final

Sydney Uni 1st Grade advanced to the Grand Final on Sunday 16th after putting on a dominant display of hitting and pitching. Lachlan Brook started the game with Tyrone Fergie relieving in the middle and Enas Hayden closing out the game. Combining as a pitching powerhouse to restrict Quakers Hill to 5 runs.

But it was Chris Douglass's clutch hitting that stole the show and help propel 1st Grade to victory over Quakers Hill. Douglass drove in eight runs from four hits to lead Sydney Uni 1st Grade past Quakers Hill 12-5 on Sunday 16th August at Petersham Park. Douglass doubled in the sixth scoring three, doubled in the fourth scoring two, and then hit a home run to left field in the eighth scoring two. Dougy had a day!

Sydney Uni 1st Grade now face off against Petersham Baseball Club in the Grand Final on Sunday 23rd August at 1pm, Petersham Park. The last time Sydney Uni 1st Grade was in the Grand Final was 2013.
