SWBL Teams FInals Bound

The SWBL finals start this weekend, with 1st grade and 3rd grade in the hunt. The PCBL C2 team win has them in the Grand Final this weekend.

We hope for the rain to clear and Petersham Oval to dry off to play for spots in the GF next weekend.

3rd grade play Petersham at 1pm Saturday, August 23rd, having won our only 3rd grade matchup with the old foe this season. Keys to success will be solid pitching through the game, as we win if we stay out of the big inning. The team has had a classic Sydney Uni approach of any guy, any time, any role; which has built momentum as the season has progressed.

1st grade also play Petersham, Sunday 1pm, in a repeat of the last round of the regular season, where we kept it at a 2-2 draw until losing steam in the 8th inning. Defense and timely hitting are the keys for the Cynics to win, with the team coming out on top during low scoring affairs through the season.

Our PCBL C2 team extends their run into the finals this weekend, playing against North Ryde @ North Ryde. Winner holds the premiership trophy high.
