Ladies Day Success + Alumni Day THIS SATURDAY JULY 27

Another year, another Ladies Day for the ages.

Champagne was sipped, nails were manicured and cakes devoured on the annual Sydney Uni Baseball Ladies Day round at Petersham Oval July 20. Major ongoing renovations to the grandstand did not hamper the spirit of the day, with attendees fundraising $903 for Beyond Blue through raffle and bake sales.

On the field, the Cynics put on a show, sweeping Hawkesbury to keep finals hopes alive in First and Second Grade, and cement the Third Grade squad as clear favourites to defend their premiership. Solid days on the hill by Ben Cobb, Jarryd Stanley and Alex Cobb across the grades saw Uni get up 3-2, 3-2 and 6-1 (Third, Second and First Grade respectively), with First Grade getting the much needing run support that’s been hot and cold throughout the season.

With one final home game against Pirates this Saturday July 27, SUBC invites past players, coaches and students to Petersham Oval for our Alumni Day round. Come share old war stories while cheering on the gold and blue against Quakers Hill Pirates in what will be must win games across the grades.

The club would like to thank the White Cockatoo Hotel and Young Henrys, as well as The Pig & Pastry Petersham who provided complimentary coffees during the day.
