Ron Rushbrooke Scholarship

The Ron Rushbrooke Fund originated as a bequest from the estate of alumnus Mr Ron Rushbrooke in 2004, the Club's centenary year. Its vision is to ensure the perpetual viability of baseball at Sydney University.

Through generous donations from Club alumni, the capital of the Fund is now at a level where the annual income generated sustainably finances the Ron Rushbrooke undergraduate baseball scholarship in perpetuity.

We are pleased to announce and congratulate the 2018 Ron Rushbrooke Scholarship recipient, Alex Cobb.

Named Scholarships

Due to a rich history and strong ties to our alumni, the Club has benefited from two further, baseball specific, scholarship funds:

  • The Ron & Jennie Finlay Scholarship

  • The David Hynes Scholarship

The funds are in a development phase and need your assistance before they are at a sufficient threshold to self perpetuate. We strongly urge all past players and alumni who have enjoyed and benefited from their time at the Club to contribute. What better way to give something back to the Club and the University than to ensure that future generations enjoy the same richness of opportunity. Furthermore, all donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.
